# Pricing

> SignalMD's plans, what a credit buys, and what happens when your credits run out.

SignalMD is priced in credits. Each plan is a flat monthly price with a monthly balance of credits, billed per organization, with card payments through Stripe. One balance pays for processed calls, simulated and phone tests, and the copilot. Plans differ in how many credits they include, and Growth and Scale include Slack support. [Limits and quotas](/limits) lists every limit you can reach, including the API's.

## Plans

| | Free | Starter | Growth | Scale | Enterprise |
| - | - | - | - | - | - |
| Price per month, billed monthly | \$0 | \$49 | \$179 | \$499 | From \$1,500 |
| Price per month, billed yearly | \$0 | \$39 | \$149 | \$425 | Custom |
| Charged once a year | \$0 | \$468 | \$1,788 | \$5,100 | Custom |
| Credits a month | None | 6,000 | 20,000 | 55,000 | Set by contract |
| One-minute calls observed | None | 6,000 | 20,000 | 55,000 | Set by contract |
| Or about this many simulated tests | None | 1,000 | 3,300 | 9,200 | Set by contract |
| Or about this many copilot answers | None | 300 | 1,000 | 2,800 | Set by contract |
| Agents | 1 | 3 | 10 | 25 | Unlimited |
| Seats | 2 | 3 | 10 | 20 | Unlimited |
| Signed DPA | No | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |

Every plan includes the board, flow, traces, versions, the REST API and the MCP server. Growth and Scale also include Slack support. Credits pay for processed calls, simulated and phone tests, and the copilot. The calls, tests and answers rows are each what the whole month's credits buy if they are spent on that one thing alone, counting every call as one minute. Longer calls use more, and a month that mixes them gets a share of each. They reset each month and do not carry over. Prices are in US dollars. Agents and seats are totals. Paid plans cost less per month when billed yearly, and the yearly bill is charged once.

Paid plans belong to an organization. A personal workspace is always on Free. To upgrade from one, open **Plan and usage** and select **Create organization**.

A paid workspace's credits reset at the start of each billing period, every month, annual plans included. Unused credits do not carry over. **Plan and usage** under **Settings** shows your period and your balance. See the [Billing FAQ](/billing/faq).

Free has no credits. A Free workspace can connect an agent and explore the demo workspace. Its calls are stored and wait until you choose a paid plan.

## What a credit buys

| Activity | Credits |
| - | - |
| A minute of call audio that SignalMD analyses | 1 for each started minute |
| A simulated test, for each test and persona in a run | 6 |
| A phone test, for each minute it runs | 6 a minute, and at least 6 |
| A copilot answer | About 20 |

A longer copilot answer, or one that looks up more, costs more. The brief's **Calibrate** chat and quick checks draw on the same balance.

Growth's 20,000 credits could cover 11,000 processed minutes and 1,500 test minutes, since 1,500 test minutes at 6 credits each is 9,000. Or they could cover 20,000 processed minutes and no tests.

## What counts as a processed minute

A processed minute is one minute of call audio that SignalMD takes for analysis. Each minute a call has started counts once, so a call of 2 minutes and 30 seconds uses 3 processed minutes, and a call of 20 seconds uses 1. Each processed minute uses one credit. Importing a call does not use credits. Calls are taken oldest first.

Every call SignalMD analyses counts, whatever the outcome. That includes a call where the caller never spoke, so a line that gets many silent calls spends its credits on them. A call does not count when:

* **SignalMD updates its reading.** When SignalMD updates its reading of calls you already have, a call is not counted again. Selecting **Re-analyze** is different: see the next section.
* **An analysis that stopped is picked up again.** Selecting **Analyze again** after an analysis stopped finishes the calls it had not read. A call already counted is not counted again, and a call not counted yet uses its credits once.
* **It is a duplicate.** SignalMD identifies a call by its Retell call ID. A call already counted in your workspace is not counted again, even if you delete the agent and connect it again.
* **It is waiting.** A call that has not been analysed yet is not counted.
* **It belongs to the demo agent.** Northwind Dental is SignalMD's own sample data. It does not use credits or count toward your agent limit.

SignalMD takes the length from Retell. If Retell gives none, it uses the time between the call's start and end. If neither is known, the call counts as 1 processed minute.

**Worked example.** A Starter workspace takes 800 calls of 3 minutes and 20 calls of 25 minutes in one month. Each 3-minute call uses 3 credits, which is 2,400. Each 25-minute call uses 25, which is 500. The total is 2,900 of 6,000, with 3,100 left.

## Analysing calls again

Selecting **Re-analyze** on **Agent config** reads every stored call again. Each call read again uses its processed minutes in credits, as its first analysis did. Calls are read again oldest first. **Analyze again** after an analysis stopped is not a re-analysis: it uses no credits for calls already counted.

* **When the credits run out partway**, the remaining calls are still read again, by rules alone, which uses no credits. The import status says how many were read that way.
* **If the re-analysis stops or has to restart**, a call already counted for this Re-analyze is not counted again, including when you select **Analyze again**.
* **Selecting it again** reads every call again and uses credits again.
* **The demo agent** can be analysed again without credits.

## When your credits run out

Nothing is dropped and nothing is charged extra.

* **Calls keep importing.** They are stored and wait unanalysed. Nothing is deleted.
* **Analysis starts again by itself** after you upgrade, or when the month resets. After an upgrade, analysis normally restarts as checkout finishes, for every agent whose waiting calls now fit. After a reset, the new month's analysis can begin up to about half an hour later.
* **Calls are taken oldest first and in order.** SignalMD stops at the first call that does not fit in what is left. A 25-minute call needs 25 credits, so with 20 left it waits, and the calls after it wait with it.
* **Tests and the copilot pause** until the month resets or you upgrade. The next section says what a refused run looks like.
* **You are told.** At 80% of the balance used, a line under the top of the app says so, with a link to **Plan and usage**. When the credits are used up, it says new calls wait until the next month. Once calls are waiting, it says how many. You can dismiss the line until the next period.

Waiting calls do not feed the board or issues until they are analysed. There is no overage price: calls past the balance wait, or you move to a larger plan.

## Tests, the copilot and agents

Tests and the copilot stop at zero. They do not queue.

* **Tests** use credits when a run starts. A run is checked as a whole before it starts. If it needs 72 credits and 40 are left, SignalMD refuses the whole run, so you never get a run that silently skipped cases. A run that waits for your approval, or is refused, uses nothing. Runs SignalMD starts for you after a release use credits the same way.
* **The copilot**, its quick checks and the brief's **Calibrate** chat all draw on the same balance. The copilot always shows how many credits are left under its box. At zero its box is disabled until the month resets or you upgrade. Questions about the demo agent use credits too, so on Free the copilot does not answer them.
* **Agents** are a total, not a monthly count. Connecting an agent beyond your plan's limit fails with "Free includes 1 agent. Upgrade to add more." Reconnecting an agent that is already in the workspace is not a new agent, and deleting an agent frees its place.
* **Seats** are the people in your organization. The limit comes with the plan. SignalMD does not count or remove members itself.

The test budget you set for an agent in SignalMD is separate from the plan's credits. It caps what that agent's runs can spend in Retell, while the plan's credits cap how much testing a month can hold.

The copilot, the brief chat and connecting agents exist in the app only. Starting a run through the API or the MCP server draws on the same credits. If the balance does not cover the run, the request fails with HTTP 402 and the code `quota_exceeded`. [Limits and quotas](/limits#plan-limit-errors) shows the response.

## Annual billing

Billed yearly, a paid plan costs less per month than billed monthly: $39 a month for Starter, $149 for Growth and $425 for Scale. The yearly bill is charged once a year: $468 for Starter, $1,788 for Growth and $5,100 for Scale. The saving differs by plan, so the pricing table shows each price. Free has no yearly price.

Credits stay monthly. A yearly plan gets its full balance every month, counted from the day the year started, and unused credits do not carry over. Choose monthly or yearly billing in the pricing table under **Change plan**.

## Enterprise

Enterprise starts at \$1,500 a month. It is not bought at checkout: SignalMD sets it up by hand, with credits chosen for your call volume, unlimited seats and SSO. It comes with a signed DPA. A BAA is arranged once our vendors' BAAs are signed. The price is a floor, not a list price. Select **Contact us** in the Enterprise column of **Plan and usage** to start.

## How SignalMD prices differently

Other voice quality tools bill by the metric or by their own credits. SignalMD has one monthly balance and no per-metric charge, so every finding on a call is included in its price. Tests, the copilot, the API and the MCP server are included too, paid from that balance.
